A one day advanced training course approved by CThA introducing qualified Indian head massage therapists to gentle and appropriate techniques for use with elderly people. Participants will learn to work within their limitations as a therapist and recognise when it is not appropriate to offer massage. Participants will learn a simple routine that has been successfully used in nursing homes and hospices, and also on elderly people in their own homes. The routine includes holds, gentle stroking and gentle kneading. There is a strong practical element to the day so be prepared to relax and enjoy a soothing treatment. You will be awarded a certificate of attendance as evidence of CPD for your portfolio.
